((NOTE: If anycat is injured, please either go to the 'medicine cat den' or put injured in the title. Also, put a description of the injury, the cause and what you woluld like Dreamheart to do i.e. thorn in paw, stepped in thornbush, heals nicely with no infection))
Dreamheart stepped inside her den and stared at it. She still hadn't gotten used to the fact that it was now her den. Her mentor was still gone...
The tortoiseshell medicine cat crouched by a pool of water that lay by the entrance. She lapped it a few times, then got up and padded to the pile of herbs she still hadn't gotten around to sorting. Neat stacks of dust-ridden greens lay in the back. She sniffed the first and coughed: too much dust! But under the dust, she scented dandelion roots. The pile next to it sported dandelion leaves. Chewed-up and dried dandelion flower petals were scattered over it. That's right, she thought. Dandelion petals, once chewed and dried, are good for storing other herbs!
The slender, graceful she-cat leapt over the large stacks to get back outside. There, she found a mouse probably left for her by an apprentice. She gulped it down and licked her lips. Mouse was good. With a small smile on her muzzle, she turned towards the pile of unsorted herbs and began to tackle the large and ever-growing stack. Cobwebs were put in a small wad. Nocat could ever have too much cobwebs available. Once all the cobwebs were separated, Dreamheart placed them with the diminishing lump of webbing in a corner. Next chervil was removed, then the other herb in the tangle, honeydew. Heather flowers were all that remained. She frowned, then gasped. "Heather flowers are even more deadly than Deathberries!" Instantly she pushed all of the flowers to the rear of the roomy cave and dug a deep hole. After lining it with large, flat rocks, she pushed in the heather petals and hurriedly covered them with mounds and mounds of dirt. The poison would not seep into the water system because of the rocks, and now she knew where to keep all heather flowers that she found. Dry ones that were ground to a fine dust made very good tea, especially when the antidote for the poison was around.
Hmmmm...thought Dreamheart. Very few herbs...
